Don Trip’s “Letter To My Son” Makes Impact On Bradenton Herald Thanks To Orlando

You guys remember the Thursday morning before Father’s day when Orlando played Don Trip‘s song, “Letter To My Son” and the impact it had on many WiLD listeners. Well, the song was even recognized by the Bradenton Herald for the overwhelming reaction it had from the public.
Orlando received all forms of notifications from young fathers and families relating to the song because it hit so close to home and these fathers “wanted nothing more than to be with their children but were prevented due to circumstances out of their control.” Although, there are some who do not listen to Hip-Hop, many say this song was an exception because it “Leaned toward the prophetic, speaking truth in the midst of injustice and suffering.” It’s not BS, it’s real and up front about life. Glad you liked my article. I happened to be driving home from the airport when I turned my radio to your station and had a long listen. I was truly touched by this broadcast. Lots of tears. Thank you for great radio.
