House Passes Short Term Speding Bill and Rihanna Announces Release Date

Rihanna The House has passed a short-term spending bill to keep the government running past the end of this month. The House rejected a similar spending bill Wednesday, forcing Republican leaders to regroup and tweak the measure with further spending cuts. That’s expected to cause problems in the Democratic-controlled Senate.

Police in Winter Haven Police are looking for a 16 year old girl who went missing this week. According to authorities, Brianna Bland was last seen at her home on Rochelle Dr. in Winter Haven just before 12 a.m. on Sept. 21.. Officials Bland as 5’5″, 120 – 125 lbs., brown eyes and brown hair and was last seen wearing a gray tank top, blue jeans and carrying a brown and tan purse. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

Rihanna has settled on a release date for her upcoming album. Billboard.com says the currently untitled project will be arriving in stores on November 21. Rihanna had previously announced that the record would be dropping “this fall. ” On Thursday, Rihanna released the record’s first single, “We Found Love.”

Johnny Damon and Ben Zobrist each hit a two-run bomb as the Rays held off the Yankees, 15-8. B.J. Upton also left had a solo shot for the Rays, who sit two games back of Boston in the AL Wild Card race. The Rays return to The Trop this evening to kick off a three-game series with Toronto. David Price will toe the rubber opposite Brandon Morrow in the opener.

An Italian couple is hoping that the threat of legal action will finally get their adult son to get out of their house. According to the “Daily Telegraph,” the couple’s 41-year-old child has a job and steady income, but refuses to find a place of his own. They have since hired a lawyer who has told their son if he doesn’t get his own apartment in ten days he will be evicted by the courts. The father notes that they can “no longer go on like this,” explaining that their son still expects them to clean his clothes and cook his meals. The father adds that the situation has gotten so bad that his wife has “developed stress-related problems” and has been taken to the hospital.
