Common Says He Likes Drake’s Music

Some rappers never really like to admit that they like another rapper’s music because obviously they’re competing. Well, that’s not the case when it comes to Common and Drake.

Common recently admitted, “I think he makes good music,” and “He’s definitely said some real clever things and made some cool songs. I like his music.” There’s been some tension between the two rappers in past weeks. This became known when there were some punches being thrown in both of their songs and during their live performances. One song that stood out was the collaboration Drake did with Rick Ross, “Stay Schemin”, which was later remixed by Common as a comeback. When asked about the punches being thrown between them, Common replied, “”I don’t think I had anything to prove,” Common says. “I just felt like somebody stepped and challenged me, so I had to step into the ring. He said some things that I thought were directed at me, so I had to address it back.” So really they’re just creating attention and not really fighting.
