Nations Demand that Syria Call Ceasefire

Dozens of nations will demand that Syria call an immediate ceasefire so aid can reach civilians caught in the government’s crackdown. Foreign ministers from more than 50 western and Arab countries calling themselves “Friends of Syria” will make that demand when they meet today.

The City of Tampa is considering a registry for domestic partners. Following implementation of a similar registry in Orlando, the city is looking to draft an ordinance that would allow unmarried homosexual and heterosexual couples the right to visit each other in hospitals or jails, and make health care decisions.

A substitute teacher in New York is accused of being a little too hands on with one of his students. According to reports, Chuk-wuma Duru was arrested for allegedly twisting a student’s nipples. A 16-year-old at Bronx Career and College Prep High School student told police that Duru touched his nipples on two separate occasions. Duru was released from jail without bail, but is charged with forcible touching, harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.
